Things To Do In Goa

There are so many things to do in Goa, it is difficult to know where to start.

Firstly there is some of the most stunning buildings to visit, and a trip to Panaji will lead you St Cajetans Church, Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate, Secretariats building, the Se cathedral; Asias largest church and Basilica of Bom Jesus.

If you are a museum lover, then the Rachel Museum of Christian Art is unmissable, and you can add to this list the Kerkar Art Complex, and the Cocoon Art Gallery.

For those interested in military history, you must visit fort Aguada.

Temples are another must see in Goa, and principally on your list should be the Shree Mahalaxmi Temple, the Shree BhagawatiTemple, the Shree Hanuman Temple, and the Damodar Temple. You should also visit the holy centre of Safa Shahouri Masjid.

There are several wildlife sanctuaries, and you must visit the Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary which is rich in wildlife, and a definite must for birdwatchers. The Dudhsagar Waterfalls are a mighty 600 meters high, and there are few more impressive waterfalls. Finally you could if you wish take an elephant ride. The Carambolin lake is a place to visit for bird watching, possibly a bit boring for children, so take them to the artificial Mayem lake, where you can take them in pedal boats, and if you choose to, try the Kesarval medicinal Spring bath.

most Goa hotels have Ayuvedic Therapies, which are reputed to rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul, but the most famous place for Ayuvedic Therapy is Keri village..

Why not take a Crocodile cruise into the backwaters around Goa, and see not only crocodiles but also all sorts of wildlife. water is so closely associated with life that a river cruise on the River mandovi is yet another option.

Finally we return to the beautiful beaches of Goa where apart from sunbathing, why not try parasailing or jet skiing.

The list whilst by no means endless will I hope help you to plan your vacation in Goa.

How to Teach Anger Management to Your Child

Most of us recognize the continuing escalation of violence around us, due to intolerance, and many of us blame it on somebody else. Parents teach their children, all the time, and when one of us displays road rage, while our child is in the car, we teach a brand new skill set.

Although, road rage is inappropriate behavior, at any time, and can get you killed, most children who are exposed to it, will duplicate the actions of their parents, when they are old enough to drive.

So the first step, is to set an example and, possibly, use some of these ideas, for yourself. Studies show that anger causes atherosclerosis, the build-up of plaques in the arteries, that is a major factor in developing high blood pressure, heart disease, heart attack, and premature death.

Also, during a temper tantrum, adrenaline and blood pressure levels rise beyond normal. This behavior is more dangerous to parents bodies due to the normal wear and tear already existing.

Now, you may be convinced that anger can kill you, but lets look at one more factor. You could hurt someone else, find yourself in prison, or get yourself killed due to inciting violence against others. There are other people, who are having difficulty dealing with anger management too.

Back to our children: All children need exercise and they are naturally full of energy. Look at any other species, and you will see the same behavior. Should we drug our dogs, cats, and parrots, when they display youthful exuberance?

Children have to run, jump, and shout. So let them play in the back yard, in a park, and get them involved in sports, yoga, dance, or martial arts. You will never regret letting your child enjoy life, constructively learn in the process, and just be a kid.

For all of us, there is a time to be quiet and a time to shout. Children need years to learn this, so lets keep them active in the process. Keep them away from the television, Internet, and video games, except for rainy days. Coloring books, board games, and reading are also good activities for rainy days.

A heavy bag is a great tool for letting anger out. You and your child can use it together. You can learn to punch and kick it, for the aerobic benefits, as well. If you have a friend who is a boxer or martial artist, you could get some pointers. After just a 20-minute session, I guarantee you, and your child, will have dealt with anger - there will be little, if any, left.

Teach your child forgiveness, through your own example. I am not asking you to let people walk all over you. However, let grudges go; life is really too short to keep a feud going.

You can also control your childs circle of friends, just by getting him or her involved in, group activities such as: League sports, dance, yoga, or martial arts. The parents who have their children in these activities want the best for them and are willing to sacrifice their time, or money, to get it.

This will keep your child busy, happy, and active, with a pre-selected crowd of friends, who have parents that care. This is a win win situation and well worth the investment.

This is not to say that every child you run into, at these functions, will be perfect, but in the above mentioned activities, all of them are structured, adult-supervised, and rules for behavior are in place. This form of organization becomes a habit, your child will follow these guidelines, and bring them home.

Here is another idea that will help. Have your child take care of a pet or a plant, every day. Children love to care for animals or plants, but they still need supervision. The result of this will be, your child learns compassion.

Compassion will keep anger in check every time.

What Will Be the Hottest Christmas Toys of 2006?

The hottest Christmas toys for 2006 will soon be hitting the shelves, and some are already on them. Remember the Furby, Tickle-Me Elmo, Beanie Babies and Cabbage patch Kids? They were the hottest Christmas toys from past holidays.

Almost every holiday season, there are a few special toys that everyone wants for Christmas -- and no one can seem to find.

If you want to make sure you have the hottest Christmas toys of 2006 under your Christmas tree, you should start thinking about shopping for them now.

Unfortunately, there's a problem -- you don't yet know what they are!

Well, I have a special "heads up" on what the hot Christmas toys of the season may be, and I'm more than willing to share the info with you. (My friends and I at WowChristmasGifts.com and ChristmasRants.com have done really well at predicting the hottest Christmas toys for the past several years.)

PlayStation 3

For gamers with a big budget, the Sony PlayStation 3 is going to be number one on the wish list. Featuring internet functions and the new blu-ray technology, PlayStation 3 is like no other gaming system ever on the market.

just remember, while this is definitely going to be one of THE hottest Christmas toys of 2006, it is also going to be one of the most expensive. When the PlayStation is released this November, expect it to have a price tag of $500 to $600.

Nintendo's Wii

If you do have a gaming fan on your Christmas list but $500 is out of the question, you may want to look into Nintendo's Wii. At just $250, it's half the price of the PlayStation 3 and it is actually the very first game system ever to make it to Toys R Us's hot Toy list for 2006.

It's not hard to see why the Wii is going to be one of the hottest Christmas toys of 2006. The remote-like controller allows players to swing it like a bat, sword or tennis racket to create a truly interactive game play environment.

We predict it is also going to be a big hit with people who are not traditionally gamers, because my of the games are not the standard type of games.

Elmo TMX

Remember when Tickle Me Elmo dolls couldn't stay on the shelves for more than a moment? Remember the long lines -- and the cat fights between parents?

Well, somehow Fischer price has done it again with Elmo TMX!

Tickle Me Elmo TMX was just released this month and while parents aren't physically fighting over them this time around, the lines have been long, and the stores have been selling out as quickly as they can get them in.

You can read more about why we think Tickle Me Elmo TMX will be so popular here:

http://www.wowgiftideas.com/looking_for_tickle_me_elmo_tmx.html

Since we still have a lot of time until Christmas, it's only a sign of what's to come, and this may prove to be one of the top hottest Christmas toys this year.

Some Other Contenders

While the above three toys seem to be the most promising when it comes to the hottest Christmas toys this year, there are a few other names you should be keeping an eye on.

Some other toys that may grace the wish lists many include Webkinz, Dora's Talking Cash register and the Pink Nitro Notebook by Vtech.

This year we expect there will be hot Christmas toys for every age group, from toddler to adult. By starting your Christmas shopping early, you'll be able to find the hottest Christmas toys more easily. Happy Christmas shopping!
